I Can't Believe I Ate The WHOLE Thing!!!

Permalink 07:09:16 pm, Categories: Announcements [A], 285 words

And so the saga begins… Last weekend I received a call from my BORDERHOUND boys Dawg & Luscious letting me know of a new burger joint that opened up not too far from me called Cheeburger Cheeburger. They claimed that the food was terrific and fairly inexpensive. Luscious’ favorite part was that you could take the “Pounder Burger” challenge! The “Pounder” burger is claimed to be a whopping 20 ounces of Angus beef. Anyone who finishes the ENTIRE burger can have their picture taken holding a stuffed fabric “Pounder” and hung on that restaurant’s “Wall of Fame.” Well, the two cheeseheads (no pun intended) both ate the whole thing and were placed on the Wall of Fame!!!

Well… today I decided to check the place out with my family for lunch. Let me tell you, the boys were right. The food was excellent and kind of reminded me a little of a special place Danielle and I used to visit many years ago (except a whole lot cleaner). I’m sure by now you may be asking… well? Did you do it? Did good ole’ Brim take the famed “Pounder” challenge? Ugh! Yes, I most certainly did and I enjoyed the whole damn thing too!!!

They actually shut the jukebox off and announced to the rest of the diners in the place over a megaphone that: “Brimstone ate the WHOLE POUNDER!!!” Ahhhh yes… I have claimed the most coveted prize! I have now won the most prestigious award one could EVER receive!!! No other acheivement before this, nor any other that will come after will surpass the success…

Well, let me tell you… I never look forward to a Friday night without Danielle. Especially when I end up having to make an appearance at a club like Hawaiin Tropic Zone in NYC. I had a good night, I just wish that she would have been able to come with me. I wound up leaving home earlier than I had originally expected, around 8:30ish. I got into the city at about 9:30 or so and headed straight over to see my buddy Gedeon McKinney (American Idol) who was working a block or so away from the final destination. Gedeon was performing over at The Spotlight in Times Square. Once we got over to the Spotlight, my manager JT was there waiting to escort me in. Inside I was introduced to Paul Carpenter, an awsome magician who from what I hear rivals the talent of Criss Angel. I saw just a few things that he did while passing the time, and now I’m looking forward to seeing him perform an actual show. Gedeon came down from the stage for a break to come talk for a few, but I did not want to disturb him too much in his element. I needed to head over to Hawaiian Tropic so we headed a block over to makes sure to be there on time. Shortly after arriving, I was glad to see that Billy (The Laugh Factory), and John Reese showed up to hang out as well.

The place was jam packed and it was literally like a sardine can! For the most part I just stayed in the V.I.P area because it was just too hard to walk around in the club. JT introduced me to Brad Hollibaugh who will be a co-star of mine in The Sitdown Man by Dan Frank of Upward Rising Films. Brad is a very well-known bodybuilder and we hit it off very well. LOL, he made me look small!

Vanessa showed up later once the place bagan to fill up. After we caught up a bit, the photog’s started coming around to shoot pics of all the celebs that were in attendance. After DJ Short-E got done with his set, he hit Vanessa, Brad, and I up to do impromptu interviews for his internet show. I’m not sure when exactley they will be going up, but I’ll try to let everyone know when it does.

The later it got, the more people packed into the Tropic Zone. Around 2:30am or so I decided that I finally had enough and wanted to get home already, I was exhausted and still had a ride ahead of us. Vanessa hitched a ride with us back to Long Island. Poor kid was so tired she passed out on the car ride home. On the way bck through the city I noticed that I was already up on the Marquee for next week’s appearance at the Times Square Arts Center (Monday, March 31st) for the red carpet and a screening of the feature film, American Gangster. That should be a lot of fun, hope to see some of you there!
