The New York Comic Con… The one thing I can say is WOW!!! What an event, between 50 to 70,000 people on Sunday alone!!! I was literally in awe to be blunt. I arrived at around 10:30am and I began my signing at about 11ish in the FX International booth. I would be spending my off time from the main celebrity autographing area with them and rotating with a few of my friends.
At about 12:25pm I started getting shipped over to the official celebrity signing area of the NY Comic Con where I would have the honor and privilege of signing beside Comic Book Legend Jim Lee, Amber Benson (Tara of Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Peter “Chewbacca” Mayhew and Lou Ferrigno to name a few! I swung by the Turnbuckle Promotions booth to see a few friends that were signing over there like Fury (American Gladiators), Bushwhacker Luke, Jackie Haas, & Kevin Thorn.
It was an awesome turnout!!! I enjoyed meeting with the fans and I actually did three interviews back to back for a few different radio and television shows. It was great to see the Loud Idiots in the house especially since I JUST did a first time interview with them a couple weeks ago.
Another of the interviews I did was with Kim who I had the pleasure of meeting when I did the Big Apple Con… she rocks a mean Elecktra outfit people!!!
During another interview I was surprisingly rushed by Cheryl Bachman and Darra “Like Dat” Boyd who came over to say hello before heading back to the FX International booth. It was hilarious… I think they ran for cover after I began taking a pop hip-hop quiz!!!
As 2:30pm approached I spent a little time chatting with my panel mates before heading back to the regular booth. Meeting Jim Lee was VERY cool considering I have been a fan of his work for many years. I have always loved his rendition of my favorite Marvel Comics character, “The Beast.”
It was a pleasure to meet the very sweet Amber Benson who played Tara on one of my all time favorite shows, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” I hope to be able to catch up with her again soon.
Of course the day would NOT have been complete without spending a little time with the one and only Incredible Hulk… Lou Ferrigno himself…
I headed back to the FX Booth to sign again and I was greeted by Web TV Deluxe to do another interview. I was joined by my dear Claire Unabia (America’s Next Top Model) & Like Dat (VH1’s Flavor of Love & Charm School).
As we did the interview, another good friend of mine Dan Nelson (Anthrax) popped in to say hello shortly after followed by Taimak Guarriello… YES… Bruce Leroy of The Last Dragon!!!
It was chaos… we created a media frenzy as a ton of press took video and photos of us all together!
As the event wrapped up, I spent a little time with C.C. Banana who I met backstage at the PNC for Poison.
Before leaving I made sure to stop over to see Fury who we missed the whole day… I also finally had a little time to talk to former WCW valet Midajah.
I had a GREAT time with GREAT friends… I look forward to doing this again in the near future! I also want to send out a personal hug and thank you to my agent Kim who did an amazing job with all of us this weekend!

Saturday was certainly a long one… Dawg and I shot out early to head into Staten Island for the first ever Staten Island Super Sign 2009. It was a special day considering it was Dawg’s 31st Birthday and we would be spending the day with friends that we have not seen in awhile. I was set-up between two of my beautiful friends, Missy Hyatt and Cheryl Bachman which is always a pleasure!
I was amped up to be debuting my brand spanking NEW “Entrance to Hell” Brimstone Trading Cards (Volume One) at my signing table. I’ve made them exclusive to appearances ONLY at this point and will be opening them up to the internet shortly!
It was truly an honor and a privilege to spend time with and meet so many folks that I had not had the pleasure of meeting prior including John Cena, Sr. (who I can not even begin to tell you how great this guy is to talk to! Old school mind the way I like it… we had a lot in common and I’m glad we had the opportunity to talk for as long as we did. I’m looking forward to keeping in touch with him and picking his brain from time to time!). Another great mind in the business of professional wrestling who I have somehow never crossed paths with was Bill Apter. Bill is a legend in my book who has covered more on pro-wrestling and the people behind it than almost anyone I can think of! He did a fantastic job of working the crowd and hosting the event.
A lot of fun was had by all meeting and greeting the fans and just plain ole’ catching up! The list of all the special guests was SO immense… Here are a bunch of shots from throughout the day…

Next… Brimstone at the NY Comic Con at the Jacob Javits Convention Center!!!
I headed out to New Jersey on January 31st to show my support for Dexter’s Entertainment Complex who have been in a financial crisis due to the current state of the crappy economy. The staff at Dexter’s put forth a tremendous effort to try and raise awareness and money for this amazing facility that has produced repeated opportunities to local acts as well as national acts for many years. The troops came out in droves in order to help support a landmark in the NJ music scene!!!
I was meeting a some friends at the location who were coming from far to lend a hand including Tattoo Tony (VH1’s Rock of Love 1 & 3), Like Dat (VH1’s Flavor of Love & Charm School), Jose Hernandez, Jr. (HBO’s Oz, Law & Order), Cheryl Bachman (Playboy), & Metal Mike (Halford, Sebastian Bach) among others.
All went well with a tremendous amount of press surrounding the event. It was great to see the Cruisin Cripples and Mike Trash and the Trash Clan in house doing thier thing.
It was also a pleasure meeting Ronny Paige (Fuel) who is now working on a new project. It turns out that Ronny’s father owns Dexter’s so the evening meant a lot to him personally.
I hope we were able to help out! A lot of fun had by all!!!
First off I would like to tell everyone that I am sorry that I have not had the time to update the BrimBLOG in awhile. I was in the process of changing hosting sites and there were just too many problems making the Entrance to Hell a little wonky for a few days… Anyway, everything seems to be running better now and I have a few so I figured I would make an entry for the Music School’s Drum Fight VII that I had the pleasure of hosting on January 25th.
I got to the venue for the event at about 5pm in order to settle in and prepare for the evenings festivities. I was glad that Bumblefoot made a special trip out to hang for awhile before heading out to LA.
I was pretty amped to host the Drum Fight considering I was a drummer for many years. Soon after my arrival, the judges for the competition began to show up including my good friend Rod Morganstein (who will be heading back to the studio to record the next Winger album shortly), Liberty Devito (Billy Joel Band) and AJ Pero (Twisted Sister).
Before I go ANY further… let me tell you that AJ had me cracking up the whole night!!! Awesome drummer… Awesome personality!!!
The competition started a little late however it was WELL worth the wait for the fans!

It was a packed house and when looking out into the audience it was like a sea of heads! I enjoy working one on one with a crowd, especially one that was as energetic as this one…
The competition was adorable (the little kids) and fierce as the night progressed… There were certainly a few contestants that NEED to be seen as soon as humanly possible!!! Unbelievable how terrific some of these players were!!!
More importantly, the event supported a movement that I feel is terrific called DAD:
ABOUT THE DAD PROGRAM:

Towards the end of the event I had the honor of filming a small interview segment for Evan Ginsberg & Franco Frassetti’s upcoming release… the documentary, “Fire in the Blood.” Make sure to keep an eye out for this amazing documentary.
Retarded amount of fun had by all!!! Until next time…
