Seems as though I’m spending a lot of time in New Jersey recently… Still burnt out from the last few days of running around, I headed out to Keanburg, New Jersey to Tiki Stadium for Tattoo Tony’s charity event for a young boy named Nick who has Autism (Hence Rockin’ & Ridin’ for Autism).

I showed up and set-up shop in the back of the building with my brutha’ from anotha’ motha’ Balls Mahoney. I was joined by my friends Jose Hernandez Jr., Cheryl Bachman and Darra “Like Dat” Boyd in order to help out the cause. We raised about $13,000 by the end of the night!!! A lot of great music and people to talk to all day… good times!!!

FINALLY!!! The wait is OVER!!! The Roadhouse made its premiere at the Garden State Film Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey. This was a really fun cameo to film for Director Nick Pavano of Lightning Films. Nick is a great young director who I feel can go very far in this business if he continues in the direction he is going. I played the role of Vince, a childhood friend of the main character Joe Nuzzo (Played by Joe Sernio). Now Sernio and I happen to be good friends outside of business, so we had really good chemistry on screen. I headed out to New Jersey to make sure I was there on time for the cast arrivals. Once I arrived, we took a bunch of shots for the press in front of the movie poster. The whole crew was there including Joey, Monica Knight, Nick Pavano, Shayna Craig, Vinny Vella and Perry Facchiano.

The turnout for The Roadhouse was even bigger than that of Blood Line which was damn near impressive!!! They actually had to turn away a couple hundred fans that came out to support the film; there was just simply not enough room!!! I had not actually seen the film prior to the premiere so I was hoping that my performance was up to par with my co-stars. I was thrilled with the whole movie from beginning to end… no complaints here! Actually, there were no complaints considering we won the “Viewers Choice Award for Best Film” as well as “Best Original Song from a Feature Film.” Hands down I was very happy with the outcome and I look forward to working with Lightning Films and the crew again in the near future!

After the film I spoke with some press and rather than going over to the after party, we opted for the long drive back home. We would have to make our way back into New Jersey the following day to support “Rockin’ & Ridin’ for Autism.” Make sure to look for The Roadhouse at a theater near you or watch for its release on DVD. I’ll be sure to keep everyone up to date on the DVD’s progress.

After a VERY late night… I got up in what seemed to be only a couple of hours after I fell asleep to head over to the Huntington Hilton in Melville, New York in order to show my support for the Arthritis Foundation. This would be the second year of me making a celebrity appearance for the annual event. This was the 23rd Annual “Salute Your Staff” Event where a bunch of celebrities gather together to have lunch with the chosen staff members of local business’ in order to raise money for the Arthritis Foundation. This year we managed to raise over $48 thousand dollars for a cause that personally means a lot to me considering professional wrestling is what I chose to do with my body for so many years (Not to mention drumming for years prior!).

A good time was had by all and I again enjoyed giving back to those in need. I FINALLY started leaving at around 2pm, but wound up getting into a long catch-up talk with my boy Joe Rock of WBAB. We spoke so long that Joe invited Danielle and I down to the WBAB studio later that evening to continue our conversation. I actually slept for a few hours and then headed out to WBAB. Although I may have been beyond exhausted… I had a great time all around!!!
It was one of those days where I was expecting to make it to multiple locations in one night. Sometimes I wish I could just friggin’ clone myself… perhaps I would then somehow get the things done that I need to get done!!! Well, this evening I was originally supposed to hit up the New York Mercantile Exchange to view an exhibit, “Stars, Noir and Nature: The Art of Michael D’Antuono. I was running WAY behind due to traffic and it just kept getting later and later. I sent the message that I would not be able to make it before the exhibit was over and instead headed to my second appearance scheduled for the night which was for Marc Ecko Clothing.

I showed up to the Marc Ecko Clothing Company’s location at 147 8th Avenue (Between 17th & 18th Street) in New York City. I was quickly bombarded by the media once arriving which is really never a bad thing… although I was already bent about missing my first appearance. As cranky as I was, I put on a smile and proceeded to do a bunch of interviews right there on the streets of New York LoL!!! One of my favorites was with Jefph Michel of Signature Hits Magazine. I enjoyed our conversation and we had a blast doing the interview.

During the event I had the pleasure of spending some time with Kevin Godfrey who is the VP of Visual Marketing for the Marc Ecko brand. We spent a lot of time discussing the potential of “Brimstone” being one of the next celebs to represent their clothing line. We probably spoke a good majority of the time I was there in between meeting and greeting with fans. Kevin requested that I go with him to the after party which I agreed to, especially considering we wanted to continue the conversation.

I was glad to see that Jefph had made his way to the after party, as well as Billy Raum who is a very good friend of mine that I had not seen in quite some time due to schedules. Billy and I finally had the chance to catch up a bit and just hang out.

To cap off an already late night, I was somehow convinced to head over to Imperial Nightclub to make a quick appearance. I really REALLY did not want to go over there… especially because I was already exhausted. I was annoyed as soon as I walked in the door so I walked right out!!! The owner rectified my issue right away and brought me in through the side entrance. I met up with the people who coerced me into coming in the first place and spent my ten minutes before finally getting the hell out of dodge as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, I had to be up early the next morning in order to attend the Arthritis Foundation event!!! Ugh!!! Again… if anyone has a cloning machine, please let me know!!!

Yes… I admit it… I enjoy Broadway shows!!! When I had the opportunity to support Multi-Award Winning Broadway star Chester Gregory for his debut album, “In Search of High Love,” I jumped at it. Chester has played lead roles in many major Broadway shows including the roles of Terk (Original Broadway Production of Disney’s Tarzan), Seaweed J. Stubbs (Original Broadway Production of Hairspray), and currently Donkey (Shrek). I arrived a little later than expected to Bar41 in Times Square where the event was being held… I was NOT in a happy mood considering I hate to be late!!! I walked in and took some shots on the red carpet for the BET Network and the press before pushing my way through the crowd to the small stage where Chester would be performing.

I enjoyed the amazing performance given by Chester and I cannot wait to hear the entire album. I enjoyed catching up with people I have not seen in awhile and meeting new people that just wanted to meet me. Aside from my miserable experience getting to the event, it turned out to be a very enjoyable evening with some great music. I look forward to keeping in touch with Chester and will make sure to keep everyone updated on his progress in the new venture!!! Oh, and although I am not a drinker… I tried the liquor sponsor, Seraphin XO’s Cognac and it was DELICIOUS!!! ;P

Early Sunday morning I headed out to make a celebrity appearance for the eleventh annual L.E.A.D.D. Family Walk and Fair. L.E.A.D.D. is the abbreviation for Levittown Education Against Destructive Decisions which I feel is an excellent cause to support!!! I had one of my sponsors, “L.I. Miller’s Ale House of Levittown” create a new “Brimstone” banner and special autograph sheets for the event. It was not the most pleasant weather outside being chilly and slightly rainy… but I arrived on location early and raring to go. I enjoy doing events that I can bring my children to because even though I am working, I can enjoy them having a good time. We went into the school’s lunch room where the veterans were holding an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. I figured it was going to be a long day so I’d better eat while I had the opportunity! After finishing eating, I made my way into the gymnasium which was where the final destination would be following the walk itself. The powers that be put my booth to sign right at the front door which was nice and roomy as opposed to in a corner hidden somewhere LoL. My kids helped set-up the table so it would be ready to go once we finished walking.

I got the signal that they were ready for me outside so I grabbed the “Brimstone” banner and made my way to where Councilman Gary Hudes, Town Supervisor Kate Murray and Kevin Regan were preparing for the promotional photos we had to take. I had Dawg get the kids and their friends ready with the banner while I took the photos for the press.

We lined up towards the front of the parade and started the walk through the streets of Levittown. Nothing too extraordinary, although it spread the word about the program and hopefully more people will join in the walk next year. Once we came back to the school, Dawg and I hung the banner up behind the table and I began signing. After getting through about fifty or so autographs… I was called up to the stage and asked to do a speech which I somehow put together (Don’t ask me HOW!!!).

I returned to signing after the speech which gave me the opportunity to meet and greet with the family’s who came out to support the cause of keeping our children clean (Even on such a crappy day!). I had a great time and look forward to walking with them again next year!!!
On the road again… I was making my way into the big city as usual for my scheduled interview with, “The Celebrity Report” Magazine. We were meeting at a place called Pop-Burger down in the Village which sounded like a cool place to go. Meantime, I had another scheduled interview with Ed Mazza of France 24 Observers via phone which I planned on doing while driving into Manhattan. I think that the article came out pretty good too! France 24 Observers happens to be one of the largest websites in all of France and it was an honor to be asked for the interview. You can check out the interview HERE if you have not seen it yet!!!

I finished up the interview with Ed as I walked up to the location of the second interview. I met up with Kimberly Wolcott & Edward Funches of Celebrity Report and we went inside to start the candid interview.

I enjoyed working with Kim considering she knew my background and history as well as how to lead a conversation. It is always a pleasure to work across from a reporter who you can feed off of and vice versa. We spoke for about two to three hours so they would be sure to have everything that they needed. I’m looking forward to actually seeing the final article which will be published in June/July.

Ok, so we scheduled a photo shoot with Holden Leads who aside from being a friend of mine… happens to also be the official celebrity photographer for Criss Angel, Dee Snider, Jesse Snider, Evan Seinfeld, Tera Patrick, Sunny Leone and many more!!! We wanted to do something different, but we were really unsure of a location. We grabbed Holden from his place at about 10am and we started driving West in hopes to find the perfect location. First we wound up stopping in at the World’s Fair to see if there was anywhere cool to shoot. After spending a little time walking around there… we decided that there was really nothing “perfect” for what we were looking for. We hopped back into the car and started heading back towards the expressway, although we somehow took the wrong turn at Albuquerque and somehow found ourselves at the site of the NEW Shea Stadium. We stopped and looked at the sight of pure destruction and took a few historical photos for good measure.

We drove around a bit more until I opted to start heading back towards Long Island. I figured that I’d stop at a Dunkin’ Donuts to grab a quick snack and coffee for myself and the troops when I got the idea for a location!!! I remembered that there was the perfect place that looked like something out of a Terminator flick and it was right across the street from where we were! I wound up getting pretty excited because I had a really great feeling about the shoot that was to follow. Holden was unbelievable!!! He was quite literally one of the best photographers that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He took me way outside of my comfort zone… more so than other photogs. The results in my opinion were tremendous!!! Why not take a look see for yourself… hope you enjoy them!!!

I FINALLY had a night that I was actually able to sit down and relax when I got a call from Tattoo Tony letting me know that he and Bret Michaels would be in town over at Mulcahy’s Pub & Concert Hall in Wantagh, New York. We made the arrangements for my arrival and Danielle, Dawg & I headed over to spend some time and catch up with friends. We headed in early and were escorted through the side doors to bypass the crowd. Rather than heading backstage right away, we opted to hang out in the back bar area where we could hang out with some friends including Big Chris Kiszka (who was filling in for Big John as Bret’s bodyguard on this leg of the tour), his girlfriend Lysa, Lou Valentino, Holden Jay and of course Tattoo Tony (Bret’s personal tattoo artist & acting personal assistant for this leg of the tour).

Tony has been a close friend of Bret’s for many years and has been on the road with him just as long. People should remember him from VH1’s Rock of Love 1 & 2 and Rock of Love Bus. Poor guy was running around like a chicken without a head!!! We were pleasantly surprised when Fingers from WBAB walked in. I had not seen Fingers in awhile due to both our busy schedules and it was great to see him. It was good to be able to catch up with him without either of us having to run in opposite directions!

Fingers shot up to the front in order to introduce the opening band. Hahaha… he is great on the stick and it certainly didn’t hurt that he gave me a shout out while on stage. Meanwhile, I wound up hanging out with Lucky Chuck (Bret’s Drummer) for awhile.

Just before Bret went on… I was escorted by security through the crowd to the backstage area. I opted to stay on the side of the stage where we could actually WATCH the show!!!

Bret and the band put on a great performance as usual… after the show we hung out a little bit longer with everyone and decided to head home rather than sticking around. Looking forward to catching up with Bret and the peeps sooner rather than later!!!

Thursday March 12th I made my way back to Staten Island to make another appearance on NY Rocks with host Phil Fiumano. It is about the third time I’ve done the show already so I more or less knew what to expect. I was going on in order to promote The Roadhouse, Blood Line and my Brimstone: ETH Trading Cards (AVAILABLE NOW!!!). I was joined on the show by my friend Jose Hernandez, Jr. (HBO’s Oz) who was accompanied by Cheryl Bachman (Playboy). Stay tuned to http://www.NYRocksTV.com for the episode online if you do not get Manhattan Cablevision.

March 13th:
On Friday night I shot in to NYC in order to show support for the cast of the upcoming television series “The Power of Six” in which I play the lead villain’s role of Johnny Whisper. The show is being produced as a pilot for HBO who is very interested in the project which is being directed by JR Michael. The event was held over at Country Club located at 248 West 14th Street in New York City. It was certainly very interesting evening hanging with most of the cast members. I’m looking forward to start filming soon!!!
March 17th:
On Tuesday March 17th… Jose Hernandez, Jr., Billy Garcia (Survivor) and I had a private meeting with Executive Producer Sean Pomper and Director Geraldine Winters for the upcoming film, “Bunny Killers.” All three of us are playing lead roles in the upcoming film that is currently in pre-production. We basically had discussions on who would be playing the specific roles and quite simply spent some time getting comfortable with one another. Geraldine and I had a great conversation and she would also like for me to play a lead role in another movie she is directing called, “Mirror Mirror.” I’m looking forward to getting started on these projects which should hopefully begin in June/July. I’ll keep everyone updated on everything as I find out the information!!!

Today was a LONG day as everyday on a set is… I was filming the pilot for Gangster’s Nightmare which will be a fantastic film with Universal once all the final funding comes through. I planned on getting done with all my scenes as early as possible considering I had a commitment with a group of old friends from my old private school… a long overdue reunion so to speak! I had the opportunity to meet a few good people including JJ Newman of the New York Mets.

I was working aside my friend, “Pablo Escobar, Jr.” who was playing the lead role of “Blast.” No NOT the Blast that I used to team with in the world of professional wrestling… We had a great time on set and drove the director “Hanson” and his partner “Flaco” crazy throughout the shoot. I had to tease him about the old school boy band that adorns the same name as him.

I was happy to see my boy Dawg getting a lot of play on set as what else… a bodyguard!!! We actually got to work with a couple of other friends of ours including Billy Raum (The Breach) and Broadway Actress Nicole Allen who both had roles as feds in the film. A great time was had by all and I look forward to actually filming the final product that has the interest of Universal for distribution.

I wound up getting off the set pretty late and I was running WAY behind getting into Manhattan for my school reunion!!! It had been WAY too long since I have seen any of my old friends and considering the schedule as of late… I have less time than ever. It was great catching up with some old friends and seeing what everyone is doing with their lives now!
